Siagon Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates the Backgammon by Siagon mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or a private relay address) and a unique identifier. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
• Gameplay data: Match results, move history, ratings, rankings, and statistics.
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version, language preference, and anonymized analytics identifiers.
• Usage data: Session duration, feature usage, crash logs, and performance metrics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Account creation and authentication
• Matchmaking and real-time multiplayer gameplay
• Leaderboards and ranking calculations
• Analytics to improve app performance and user experience
• Customer support
• Subscription and purchase management

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data under these legal bases:

• Consent: You consent to data collection when creating your account.
• Contract: Processing is necessary to provide the game service you requested.
• Legitimate interest: Improving app performance, preventing fraud, and ensuring fair play.

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (stores account and gameplay data)
• Ably — real-time messaging for multiplayer matches
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
• AppLovin MAX — advertising (free-tier users only; no ads for premium subscribers)

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is erased within 30 days. Anonymized gameplay statistics may be retained for leaderboard integrity.

6. Data Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard methods. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing
• Opt out of targeted advertising

8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident:

• You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
• You may request deletion of your data.

• We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place for any cross-border data transfers.

10. Children's Privacy

Our app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). The game contains no gambling mechanics, user-generated content exposure, or objectionable material. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our website (siagon.com) does not use cookies or tracking technologies. The mobile app uses anonymized analytics identifiers to improve performance and does not track you across other apps or websites.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
